Scientists Claims Cockroach "Milk" Is Rich In Protein, Fat & Sugar
Scientists have claimed cockroach milk is full of protein, and may someday be transformed into a food supplement worthy of human consumption.
According to CNN, scientists have found that the Cockroach feeds its bug babies a formula which is remarkably rich in protein, fat and sugar.
"The protein crystals are milk for the cockroach infant. It is important for its growth and development,"said Leonard Chavas, one ofthe scientists behind the research.
He explained the crystals have a whopping three times the energy of an equivalent mass of buffalo milk, about four times the equivalent of cow's milk.
“For now, we are trying to understand how to control this phenomena in a much easier way, to
bring it to mass production,” Chavas said. Having lost a drinking game with his colleagues, Chavas tasted the cockroach milk onc
“No particular taste,” he commented, though the idea of ice cream appeals to him.He imagines “a flavor with honey and crispy pieces.”

Anambra Ambassadorial Nominee Fails National Anthem Test During Screening At Senate Today
The screening of Ambassadorial nominees began today on a dramatic note as two of the nominee envoys couldn't recite the National anthem and pledge properly.
When the Chairman of the Senate
Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, asked the nominee from Anambra State Vivian Nwunaku Okeke to recite the national anthem, she mixed up the stanzas and got it completely wrong.
Also, when she asked Ibrahim Isa, the nominee from Niger state to recite the National Pledge , he mixed it up too.

Woman With Huge Breasts Says She Regrets Having Breast Implant[Photo]
British model Candy was left struggling to carry out everyday tasks after her last boob job went
too far.
Candy, who features on Tuesday's episode of Botched, revealed how her first breast implants were fairly modest but as she increased the size, the amount of money and attention she received also increased paving the way for a lucrative career.
But, her last boob job saw her devastated and asked Dr Paul Nassif and Dr Terry Dubrow for help after Candy was left with a massive gap in
her chest. On the show, Candy explained how she went from having 420cc silicone implants to 2500cc in
a short space of time.
“For my first breast job I had 420cc silicone,which took me up to about a DD and I loved them, yeah they looked really good,” Candy said.The model then had another boob job taking her up to 1200cc, but it was the next surgery that left her full of regrets.
“I would even get my little brother to take pictures,” she said. “When I woke up from that surgery I instantly
regretted it,” Candy said, describing how her implants were up to her collarbone. “They were huge.”
Candy felt that she would lose some fans if she had smaller size boobs, but she couldn't carry on with that size and weight so went to Florida for a reduction.

Lil Wayne Reportedly Stormed Out Of A Cannabis Concert
Lil Wayne threw a not so little tantrum in the middle of his performance at the High Times
Cannabis Concentrates Cup Show in San Bernardino, California, on Saturday.
The 33-year-old hip hop star was on stage just a few minutes and less than one blunt in before he became enraged and stormed off stage. The Lollipop rapper literally did a mic drop after declaring he would never return to the event.
Everything seemed fine at first, with the headliner act walking out on stage at 9.30pm and even sparking a blunt much to the excitement of the marijuana enthusiasts that were in the audience.
Angrily the pint sized hip hop legend said: 'Don't you ever call me to do this st again. Ever.'Not done yet, he continued: 'Don't you, ever,ever, ever, ask me to do this st again.' It was not possible to see who the How To Love rapper was focused on, but numerous social media users said the rapper was not pleased with the level of energy the crowd was giving him.
Fear grips Residents In Bayelsa And Rivers Over Earth Tremor
A suspected earth tremor in parts of Bayelsa and Rivers States has caused palpable apprehension among residents of the affected communities in the two oil-rich states.
Residents of the areas noted that the tremor caused serious cracks on the walls of their buildings due to the incident, though no injury was reported.
It was learnt that in some of the impacted communities such as Igbogene and Akenfa in Bayelsa as well as Akinima, Akie-Oniso (Oruama), One Man Country and Mbiama –neighbouring communities in Rivers, many people who experienced it were yet to recover from the trauma.
There were heavy vibrations that lasted for some minutes during the incident which was said to have started about 12 midnight. Nigeria reportedly experienced tremors in 1933,1939, 1964, 1984, 1990, 1994, 1997, 2000 and 2009 in variousparts of the country.
A retired Principal and landlord in Igbogene, Bayelsa state,Chief Etekpe Friday, described the experience as “frightening”.“We were about to go to bed when I heard a heavy vibration. I thought it was something else so I quickly went into prayers,” the 60-year-old man stated.
Another resident, Victor Idieto, described the earth tremor as a kind of earthquake. He said, “in fact, there was a kind of earthquake, very serious quake that lasted for some minutes. “At first, I thought it was armed robbers that were removing my roof, so I started shouting,‘Armed robbers, armed robbers’, only to realize that others had similar experience.”
At Akie-Oniso (Oruama) in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, a resident, Paul Kio, said the tremor caused a serious crack in his building. “This vibration was something unpredictable, look at the cracks on my wall,” Kio explained.
Also, Paul Harrison, who hails from Delta State, but resides in the area, said it was the fourth time the incident had taken place, vowing to
take his family away from the community if another occurs.
The story was the same at Akinima,
headquarters of the LGA. A house wife, Animason Emeka-Mark, pointed out that she had a traumatic feeling throughout the fateful night. “Everywhere was shaking. It was something else. I thought the world had come to an end,” she said.

Gunmen Abduct RCCG Pastor During Sunday Service
There was panic at a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at Santos bus stop in the Isawo, Ikorodu, Lagos State,on Sunday after
some gunmen walked in and abducted the pastor during the service.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the pastor, identified only as Bajomo, was whisked away by the gunmen, who came to the church as if they were new members.
Our correspondent learnt that the pastor, who was abducted around 7am,was the first to reach the parish and was preparing for a workers’
meeting which usually preceded the Sunday service.It was gathered that when the other members arrived at the church, the pastor was nowhere to be found.
Our correspondent gathered that the matter was reported at theOwutu Police Division. A witness, who identified herself only as Esther, said the gunmen wore attractive clothes as if they had come for the church service. She said, “The pastor came earlier around 7am to prepare for a workers’ meeting.The shocking thing was that the men walked in quietly like new members.
“They dressed like people who had come to church.They had Bibles with them. They did not shoot or display any weapon. It was when they got to the pastor that they brought out their
guns and ordered him to come with them.
“The pastor got to the church before anyone else and only three members had arrived beforebthe abduction.
“We discovered after they had left that they were Ijaw militants. They have taken away our pastor. Some members, after the incident, went to the pastor’s house to inform his family members.
“It is a sad occurrence in our area that residents are being abducted, raped, assaulted and even killed every day. It is a problem that has been left to become a calamity. “I think the state government and the police really need to do something about these recurring incidents. We are at the mercy of the Ijaw boys.
"The RCCG Head, Media and Public Relations, Pastor Segun Adegbiji, confirmed the abduction. He said the church would invite God’s anger on
those who troubled its members and pastors. He said, “RCCG will not take abduction or murder of our pastors and members any more. “We like to warn murderers and abductors that God will show upwith anger and fire. He will consume them speedily.”

A Suicide Bomber Kills Self & Injures 10 Near Music Festival In Germany
A suicide bomber has died and 10 people have been injured in an explosion near a music festival in southern Germany .
The 27-year-old Syrian man detonated an explosive device at around 10pm local time on Sunday. The man carried the bomb through a busy area in Ansbach, Bavaria,where the open air event was taking place.
The blast was initially thought to be a gas blast but the Mayor ofAnsbach told reporters it is believed to be the result of an explosive device.
Ansbach police said they we're alerted to an explosion in the city centre just after 10pm. It is understood that around 2,500 people may have been at the nearby music festival at the time.
It’s Illegal To Pay Ex-Governors As Senators, Says Falana
Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), said it was illegal for former governors, who have been placed on life pension in their states, to earn salaries and allowances in the National Assembly.
He also stated that the lawmakers ought not to have been entitled to the payment of their full salaries and allowances for failing to sit for the
mandatory 181 days before going on a seven-month recess.
The Lagos lawyer, in a lecture he yesterday delivered as the investiture of Mr. Dele Ojogbede as President of Rotary Club, Ikoyi in Lagos, counselled the Federal Government on what to do with those undermining the anti-corruption war.
He also commented on the allegations of corruption against the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Gen. Tukur Buratai, Internal Affairs Minister Abdulrahman Dambazzau and Comptroller-General of Prisons Ahmed Jafaru, as well as the alleged budget padding in the Greeen Chamber.
On of ex-governors in the Senate, Falana said:
“It is high time the Federal Government stopped the payment of salaries and allowances to former governors who are in the senate. Since they are on pension for life, it is illegal to continue to pay them salaries and allowances at the same time.”
According to the lawyer, none of the 469 lawmakers in the National Assembly had justification for the emoluments they collected in the first legislative year under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
His words: “The APC-led National Assembly has also engaged in collecting jumbo emoluments for
services not rendered to the nation.
“Whereas Section 63 of the Constitution provides that the Senate and the House of Representatives shall each sit for not less than 181 days in a year, Section 68 thereof states that any legislator who fails to attend the proceedings of the Senate for less than one third of the required number of days shall automatically lose his or her seat.
“For the first legislative year which ended onvJune 9, the Seventh session of the National Assembly did not meet the constitutional requirement. Specifically, due to incessant recesses, the House of Representatives sat for only 104 days while the Senate sat for 96 days.
This means that the Senate sat for barely 50 percent of the required sitting period.
“Indeed, some of the senators who had to attend criminal courts where they are standing trial for corrupt practices did not seat for up to 70 days throughout the legislative year.
The Senate was actually shut down on a number of occasions to enable the Senate President, Dr.Bukola Saraki to attend the proceedings of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) where he is standing trial for false
declaration of assets. And in solidarity with him, a number of senators abandoned their duties to accompany him to the tribunal.
“Since the labour policy of “no work no pay” is applicable to all public officers the legislators ought not to have been paid when they did not
perform any legislative duty.
“In other words, having failed to sit for the mandatory period of 181 days the legislators were not entitled to payment of and allowances for the whole legislative year.
“Having been paid full emoluments when they failed to sit for the required number of days, the legislators ought to refund some money to the treasury.
“In the circumstance, the Accountant-General ofthe Federation should ensure that the legislators
are made to refund the money collected for the number of days they failed to sit in the National
Assembly.” He said the budget padding row rocking the leadership of the House of Representatives
should not be allowed to be treated as the lower chamber’s internal affair but be investigated and offenders sanctioned.

There are critics who keep saying you use demonic or occult power, while others think otherwise. The source of my power?It is written that by their fruits, you shall know them. If I open my mouth and say this is the source of my power, it would seem I am arrogant or boasting.
Rather, I should boast about what God is doing in my life. It is by this kind of trial that you know the true minister of God. So, if I am not of God, I will not survive this trial. But if I am of God, this trial will not destroy me. Trial is the soil in which faith flourishes. God sees his own people through trial.
Let me ask once again, what is the source of your power, the secret?
I said God. Jesus comes to give abundant life, while satan comes to kill and to destroy. Are you saying that I use demonic powers to deceive all these foreigners you see around Synagogue here? Right now I am talking to you, there are over 400 foreigners from 10 different countries here. Are these people being deceived, destroyed or killed (as my detractors alleged)? If I have been using occultic power, the congregation here will not increase.
We read somewhere that you studied mysticism in India…
I have never visited India. It is a lie.
All these criticism must be a big weight on you…
Whatever happens, I give myself to prayer. When people hate or criticize you in spite of all you do, remembers Christ’s rejection. If Jesus Christ, himself could be ill-treated and called names, (he was even accused of using the power of Belzebub, the King of the devils), who am I, a mere servant, to feel exceptional?

Chinese Man Arrested For Smuggling Illegal & Dangerous Chemicals Into Nigeria
A Chinese, Zhao Chum , and a clearing agent, Christian Ohia , have been arrested by the police in Lagos State for allegedly smuggling unregistered and controlled chemicals into the country.
Chum, who owns a furniture company in Ogun State, was apprehended by officials of the National Agency for Food, Drug
Administration and Control, and handed over to the police for investigations.
It was learnt that the Ports Inspection Directorate of the agency had got a tip-off that the substance, identified as Urea Formaldehyde Resin powder, was smuggled in through the Lagos sea port in two containers.
The containers were allegedly taken to Chum’s company in Omu Ijebu, from where the NAFDAC operatives impounded and brought them to the agency’s office in Oshodi, Lagos State.
Thirty-three-year-old Chum said the substance was glue, meant for his furniture works, adding that he was not guilty of smuggling.
He said, “This glue is from China. Everyone can buy it. I am not an importer. I gave this job to an agent. The agent did not tell me anything. NAFDAC people came to look for the agent. After arresting him, they arrested me too.
“You can come to my factory and see what I use the substances for. It is to hold furniture together.” A NAFDAC official, however, told our
correspondent that the substances were seized by the agency because its importation was controlled, as it could be used to produce explosive devices.
The acting Director-General, NAFDAC, Yetunde Oni, who confirmed Chum’s arrest, added that investigation was ongoing into the matter. She said, “The substance is now in NAFDAC’s warehouse. The director of the company,Zhao Chum, and his clearing agent, Christian Ohia, have been arrested. They are assisting NAFDAC to unravel the
supply chain.”

Twin Sisters 15, Dies On Their Bday After Inhaling Excess Insecticide They Sprayed In Their Room to Kill Bedbugs
These two sisters have been reported dead after insecticide repellent meant to kill bedbugs ended up killing them in their room at Asafo, Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
The unfortunate incident was said to have happened last Friday which was supposed to be their birthday. An aunty to the deceased children whose name was only given as Naana said, for the past years residents leaving in the area have had sleepless night as a result of outbreak of bedbugs also known as ‘bomb’ in the area.
In a bid to kill the bedbugs which have invaded their homes, residents embarked on a spraying exercise to get rid of the bedbugs.
According to Naana, her sister sprayed her room including children’s room in the morning in a bid to get the bedbugs out of the room and opened the doors for proper ventilation till evening when they went back to sleep.
However, the twins who were very
energetic in the evening were found
unconscious on their bed the following day. A distraught Naana said the 15 year-old twins were immediately rushed to the hospital only to be pronounced dead on arrival.

Twitter now Lets Anyone Request A Verified Account

everyone. Starting today, the company will let users request a verified account on its website by filling out a form with a verified
phone number and email address, a profile photo, and additional information regarding why verification is required or helpful. In
defining who will get approved, Twitter still says "an account may be verified if it is determined to be of public interest." Prior to today, Twitter tended only to verify public
figures, brands, and people in media, politics, sports, business, and other high-profile sectors.
