CAN Orders Female Students to Start Wearing Church Uniforms to School Since Muslim Girls Can Wear Hijab

Last week, an Osun State High Court judge, Justice Jide Falola, ruled in favour of a case instituted by Osun State Muslim Community against the State Government on the right of female Muslim students in state public schools to use hijab on their
school uniforms.

As a result of this, the Osun State Christian Association of Nigeria, OSCAN, has now clapped back by directing all its female Christian students in both primary and secondary schools in the state to start wearing their church garments to schools beginning from Monday.

The Christian leaders think its wrong for the court to fully permit Muslim girls to wear hijab to state owned public schools when it's not a private owned Muslim school. In a seeming act of retailiation, they've now demanded that Christian students should begin to wear all their church garments such as uniforms for Boys Brigade, ushers, Girls Guide, choristers, band boys, white garment
church outfits, etc.

Messages have already been sent out to churches to mobilise their members to ensure that their children comply with this new directive.

Meanwhile Osun PDP have blamed
Governor Rauf Aregbesola responsible for turning the state into a religious playground. They've asked Nigerians to hold him responsible if more damage is done to the state’s education system through the brewing crises over wearing of hijab in public schools by female students.

The party in a statement said Muslims and Christians in Osun state have coexisted long before now without crises and blamed the rising tension on Governor Aregbesola, whom it accused of planning to destabilise the state for some political reasons.
