Sometimes, going on the Internet is like entering a foreign land where you don't understand the language. While most teenagers and seasoned netizens might know what most hashtags, terms and abbreviations
on sites like Instagram, Twitter and Reddit mean,not everyone is familiar with them.This article is for those who raise an eyebrow when they see hashtags like WCW and TBT or think
LOL means “lots of love.” There are dozens of shortcuts used on the Web and social media
LOL, LMAO, ROFLMAO, ROLF: These are all ways to laugh online. Instead of saying “haha” or “hehe”people will typically write LOL, for“laughing out loud.” If it’s even funnier,then people will use “Laughing my a-- off.” Those
who have a penchant for cursing might add an F in there. ROFL stands for “rolling on the floor laughing,”and so on.
MCM, WCW: These terms are how people give a shout-out to their crush, whether it be their boyfriend or girlfriend IRL -- we’ll get to that
abbreviation in a moment -- or celebrity crush like UFC fighter Ronda Rousey. MCM is used on Mondays for men and means “man crush Mondays”; WCW is used on Wednesday for women and means “women crush Wednesdays.”
TBT, TT, FBF: These terms are for types of flashbacks, to show friends and family a glimpse of the past.TBT stands for “throwback Thursday”and is one of the most popular hashtags. TT stands for “transformation Tuesday”and is usually used to show a change in appearance (weight loss,

The drama in Tiwa Savage's marriage is back again. Today (Thursday, April 28,2016) Tiwa Savage's husband and former manager Tunji 'Tee Billz' Balogun has sent disturbing messages about his marriage on Instagram.
The first message he sent this morning was directed at Tiwa Savage. " @tiwasavage this was you when I met you with 100%insecurity. I remember when Wale called me about a girl that's got talent and u told him I wasn't interested! "
He further wrote " Please just take care of JamJam. I sacrificed my life for you and put in work and my money to your success.You are Tiwa Savage the super star now right. You will never have peace with that fame. Your mother wants to turn me to what she turned your DAD to?
I will rather Die. Ask her to confess what's she's done to me! All I did was look out for your success and forgeries g who I am."
From his rant it seems Tee Billz is very frustrated about his marriage with Tiwa Savage.

In his long emotional rant Tee Billz stated that he is tired of being with Tiwa Savage. He accused her of frustrating his business efforts and said her mother is a witch. " Lord knows I tried. I can't take it anymore. I decided that I wanted to take time out from music business so you and me will not be in the same basket of the music industry. You never supported me for day one every move I made and every project I layer my hands one was going all bad. Thanks to your mum witchcraft! Tell her to confess to you. "
He also made claims that Tiwa Savage has been mentally torturing him. " Lord knows I tried.I have been mentally tortured by my the woman I
gave everything to. I'm not perfect but I'm far away from being the best husband. Because when I dint have you paid bills and you took my man

Tee Billz also made damning accusations that his wife has slept with Dr. Sid, Don Jazzy and 2face Idibia. " With in what period of time did you Fuck jazzy and Dr Sid . Continuing with his rant Tee Billz spoke about his father. " To you Mr Ibrahim Olatunji Balogun Snr.......... I tried my best not to be like you but

Olisa Metuh Falls Off Chair, Slumps • In Critical Condition At Abuja National Hospital
The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh , on Tuesday slumped and was rushed to the National Hospital, Abuja.
The incident occurred during the
inauguration of the Yobe and Borno states caretaker committees at the Wadata Plaza party secretariat of the party located in the Wuse Zone 5 District of Abuja, witnesses said.
A source close to the PDP chieftain said Mr. Metuh suddenly collapsed during the event, and was unable to move his body.
“ The incident happened in the full glare of all those who attended the programme including party members and journalist ,” the source told Premium Times.
He also confirmed that Metuh was being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Hospital.
Metuh has had a troubled time in the past few weeks, with his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission which accused him of
receiving N400million from funds released to former NSA, Sambo Dasuki,to buy arms from the military.
The PDP chieftain denied any wrongdoing,but he is currently being prosecuted over the case.

Jonathan/Dasuki Arms Deal: EFCC Reveals Money They Stole Was $15bn, Not $2.1bn
The Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission made staggering discoveries in the process of investigating the alleged fraud relating to the diversion of $2.1bn
meant for prosecution of the war against Boko Haram.
According to Punch, EFCC had discovered that the total anti-insurgency money diverted by various personalities and agencies was over $15bn.
The $2.1bn represents the arms cash placed under the Office of the National Security Adviser, then headed by the immediate past NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki(retd.).
Ex-military chiefs, including a former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh(retd.); and a former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu (retd.), had been quizzed for their alleged roles in the arms scam.
Badeh and Dasuki are currently standing trial on charges relating to the alleged fraud.
A top source at the commission said the EFCC and the presidential panel on arms procurement, during investigations, discovered that $2.1bn fraud was just for one of the several transactions.
The source added that the commission discovered that top military officers deliberately incorporated companies to divert anti-insurgency funds for their personal uses.
“We have discovered that the total money in the arms scandal is over $15bn, not $2.1bn that was initially discovered. The $2.1bn was just for one transaction. Many of these military officers set up companies for the purpose of diverting money meant for the prosecution of the anti-insurgency war,” he said.
CCT chair, Umar, not yet exonerated
On the allegations against the Code of Conduct Chairman, Justice Danladi Umar, the source explained that the judge had not been totally exonerated.
Umar was alleged to have demanded a N10m bribe from Mr. Rasheed Taiwo, a former customs officer. The source in the commission stated that the content of the letter the EFCC wrote to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on the
matter was clear.
The top source said, “Facts are being
distorted by those who are afraid of their shadow. The letter,dated March 5, 2015, clearly explains that there was no sufficient evidence at that time to prosecute the judge. It is not an exoneration. It was learnt that the commission had seized expensive jewellery and
wristwatches during various raids on
houses of some suspects on Banana
Island, Ikoyi,Lagos, and other places.
The source added that the items seized from the suspects would be displayed to journalists in Nigeria while the summit of 60 world leaders, including President
Muhammadu Buhari, would take place on May 11 and 12 in the United Kingdom.
The EFCC source added that a wristwatch worth 1£.4m pounds was seized from the wife of the Chairman of Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Nigeria Limited, Mr. Jide Omokore.
He stated that a wristwatch of about
£600,000 was seized from a former
Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs.Diezani Alison-Madueke, during a raid on her residence.
The firm of Omokore, who was quizzed in January by the commission, was one of the companies that allegedly received
multi-billion dollars worth of public assets without due process from the Jonathan administration.
The company,which was established in 2010, had reportedly not explored any oil when it was curiously awarded controlling stakes in two lucrative oil blocks, OML 30 and 34, for just over $50m each.
The deal, which was signed by Jonathan’s Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, gave Atlantic Energy Limited a controlling 55 per cent stake.
The former minister had been interrogated by the Metropolitan Police on issues relating to money laundering.The EFCC source said the commission had started analysing information on Nigerians, including the President of the Senate, Dr.
Bukola Saraki, and others mentioned in the Panama Paper leaks.
It was gathered that the commission had seized one hospital equipment known as MRI, Medical Resonance Image, from Amosu. The equipment is worth N2.6bn.
The EFCC had previously recovered over N2.3bn cash from Amosu, while properties worth over N1bn had been seized from him.

“We are working with FBI and NCA and they are eager to assist us. I can assure you that those people will be brought back to Nigeria for interrogation,” the source said.
Nigerian Professor Breaks 187-year- old Record At the University of London
A Nigerian academic, Professor Abiodun Alao, will today deliver inaugural lecture at King’s College, University of London, making him the first black African scholar to deliver such lecture since the institution was established in 1829.
Alao, a professor of African Studies, was conferred with professorial title about two years ago alongside his Nigerian counterpart in the institution’s African Leadership Centre, Prof. Funmi Olonisakin,
making them first black Africans to attain professorial cadre at the institution since its establishment.
The appointments have been confirmed in a letter by the institution’s President and Principal, Prof. Edward Byrne AC, justifying
their elevations based on their
contributions to African peace and
security.
According to a statement, Alao has
published several single-authored books,well-researched journal articles and occasional papers, among others, which findings and recommendations “have largely helped establish peace and boost
security in many African countries.”
In an institution that produced 12 Nobel Laureates among its professors, the statement said Alao had distinguished himself, citing about 100 widely recognized 100 academic articles and encyclopedia
entries he had published, all of which were assessed to accord him professorial title.
As an academic tradition globally, the statement said the Nigerian academic would today deliver his inaugural lecture,titled, “Africa: A Voice to be Heard, Not a Problem to be Solved” at the Edward Safra
Lecture Theatre at the college’s main
campus.
The statement said the inaugural lecture, holding at the institution’s Edward Lecture Theatre on the Strand, will be attended by many people from different parts of the
world, including from the United States,Australia, Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria.
Ex-Finance Minister Nenadi Usman Surrenders 2 Houses, Refunds N140m Out of N2.5bn She Looted
Embattled former Finance Minister, Senator Esther Nenadi Usman, has returned N140 million out of the N2.5 billion she allegedly received from the office of the former National Security Adviser ahead of the 2015 Presidential elections.
In addition, the former Senator, who served as the Director of Finance for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign Organisation, has surrendered two of her houses to the Federal Government as a condition for her release from the custody of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
A source in the commission hinted that the former Finance Minister might be released on bail on health grounds, given the amount of money and the property she has forfeited to the government in lieu of what she collected.
Although the source said the commission had obtained a court order to keep her beyond the stipulated time to interrogate her further, it was learned that an undisclosed health challenge facing her had compelled the operatives to consider granting her administrative bail to seek medical attention.
When asked if the former minister had been released, the source said: “She is still with us, but we are considering granting her bail, even though we have a subsisting court order to keep her. The former minister and lawmaker has agreed
to surrender two of her choice property in Abuja, in addition to refunding N140 million to the Federal Government.”
According to findings, the former minister is being quizzed over various sums of money, which were paid into her account,including the N2.5 billion which was transferred out of Central Bank of Nigeria,CBN, into her account.
In addition, N140 million cash was allegedly paid into her Zenith Bank Account in January 2015. Usman is alleged to have had access to what EFCC sources described as “huge cash,” some of which the agency says came from the CBN.

Lil Kesh Reportedly Leaving Olamide’s YBNL To Start His Own Record Label
A few days ago, several reports online indicated that YBNL young star, Lil Kesh might be moving on from Olamide’s YBNL record label to kick off his own label.
Although, both parties are yet to speak about it at the time of this report, here are a few things we know.
In April 2014, Olamide signed up Lil Kesh and Viktoh. At that time, both were underground acts from his hood, Bariga.
A source however confirms to us that indeed Lil Kesh is floating a label of his own that he intends to start as a movement.
We also gathered that Lil Kesh and Olamide are in very good terms and his contract with YBNL already expired a few weeks ago. Olamide and Lil Kesh also went clubbing alone yesterday and both shared clips via their Snapchat pages.
Lil Kesh, according to a source,has been the one funding his project and music videos for a long time.
‘Olamide has been training them all to stand on their own and Kesh was the first to blow that’s why he’s the first to move on’, a source said.
Olamide has always thought his artistes to be dependent and also take care of themselves, so we think it actually is a welcome development as Lil Kesh would also sign other young people on the streets just the way Olamide signed him and gave him a platform. Rumor has it that Lil Kesh would name his label Y.A.G.I, the same name as his debut album which means Young And Getting It.
800 Houses To Be Demolished For Lagos’ Fourth Mainland Bridge
The Lagos State Government yesterday disclosed that about 800 houses will be demolished for the construction of the proposed 4th Mainland Bridge.
The State Government yesterday said that 2,200 houses will be saved from demolition with the new alignment designed for the construction of the proposed 4th Mainland Bridge.
Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Ganiyu Johnson said the old alignment for the bridge was to claim over 3,000 houses which
would mean huge economic losses to the economy.
He said with the new design, about 800 houses will now be affected, adding that the affected owners would be compensated by the
government.
He explained that when constructed, would drastically reduce traffic volume on Eko, Cater and Third Mainland Bridges.
THE NATION quoted the commissioner saying:“The proposed bridge will traverse from Ajah to
North West direction towards the lagoon shoreline to Lagos-Ibadan Expressway via Ikorodu. The approximate length of the road/bridge is 37.9km with a design speed of 140km/h. “Lagos State Government has held discussions with a consortium of consultants in
furtherance of the project,”.
He further explained that the significance and value of the project, saying “this lies in its capacity to rapidly decongest the traffic gridlock within the Lekki corridor and redistribute traffic towards Lagos Mainland which serves to meet increased future road infrastructure demands.”

Online Car Dealer Nabbed For Defrauding Neighbour Of N5m
The police in Lagos arraigned an Internet car dealer, Abiola Akinlonu, before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on Monday for alleged conversion of N5m into personal
use. The suspect was arrested by the police in January 2016 by operatives of the Special Fraud Unit in Ikoyi, Lagos, for reportedly defrauding a neigbour, Ikena Ezeoka, of the sum.
The duo lived on Abbi Street, Mende, in the Maryland area. Ezeoka approached the defendant, who usually came home with different vehicles, sometime in 2013 that he needed two vehicles – a Ford Explorer 2007/2008 model and a Range Rover 2007 model.
Akinlonu showed pictures of the cars to Ezeoka on his computer, claiming that he helped people buy vehicles of their choice on the Internet.
Afterwards, the dealer reportedly gave him a bank account to pay the money into with a promise that the vehicles would be delivered to him a few days after the payment.
However, it was said that after paying the sum, Akinlonu reneged on his promise. He eventually issued a Diamond Bank cheque of N5m to the complainant, but the cheque was reportedly dishonored when Ezeoka tendered it at a branch of the bank.
Ezeoka tried in vain to get his money
refunded and became more worried when he discovered that the complainant had vacated his residence.
Efforts to locate his whereabouts were futile until January 19 when the SFU operatives, to whom the alleged fraud was reported, swooped on him at his present residence on Samuel Awoniyi Street, Opebi, Ikeja.
The SFU prosecutor, Inspector Adoga Amedu, brought Akinlonu before Magistrate Ambibola Akomolafe on three counts of stealing and issuance of a dud cheque.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the counts and was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with one responsible surety. The case was adjourned till May 24, 2016.

Lagos Taskforce Nab Two Men Repackaging And Selling Expired Digestive Biscuit
The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce) has paraded two suspects - Rabiu Olalekan and Hakeem Tiamiyu - for repackaging
expired digestive biscuits.
The Chairman, Taskforce, SP Olayinka Egbeyemi while parading the suspects warned members of the public to be wary of re-packaged expired digestive biscuits selling in all markets across Lagos.
Egbeyemi disclosed that the suspects were arrested for re- packaging and selling expired digestive biscuits to members of
the public around Mosafejo market in Oshodi, Lagos.
He said one of his Police Officers arrested a lady, Bimbo Oyewole at Oshodi under bridge while she was cleaning off the expired date boldly written on a pack of a digestive biscuit.
He said the lady who was arrested took the taskforce officials to where she bought the expired digestive biscuit at N1,900 per pack from Mr. Rabiu Olalekan and Mr. Hakeem Tiamiyu.Olalekan, whose address as at time of arrest was C135 Bere Mapo, Ibadan in Oyo state confessed to have been doing the business of repackaging expired digestive biscuits and selling them to members of the public at a cheaper rate with Hakeem Tiamiyu who lives at No 26, Oremeji Street,Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos.
The suspects claimed that they bought hundred packs of digestive biscuits before government demolished Mosafejo market and that since they could not sell them
before they expired, they decided changing the expiring dates and re-packaging them for the consumption of members of the public.
According to Olalekan, they normally sell a pack of re-packaged digestive biscuit at the rate of N1,900 as against the non-expired one sold at N4,500 per pack.
Both men claimed that poverty pushed them to the business and that they distributed these re-packaged expired biscuits to various agents across Lagos State.

Apparently Prince Didn't Leave A Will • By Law His $150m Fortune Will Be Split Among His Six Brothers & Sisters
Prince’s multi-million dollar fortune which is estimated at a whopping $150m could be split between his siblings, according to a US report.
The late singer, who passed away at his Paisley Park estate last Thursday, reportedly didn’t leave a will. TMZ claims that sources close to the Raspberry Beret singer say he didn’t have one drawn out as late as 2014 and it’s unlikely he drafted one since.
So far no one has come forward with one.According to Minnesota state law, the estate goes to the deceased’s closest living relatives if there is no will in place.
It’s been assumed that his sister Tyka would inherit his estate, but in Minnesota half siblings - which Prince has six of - are treated the same as full siblings and would therefore be entitled to the inheritance equally.
The singer's dad had three daughters and two sons before Prince was born with Vivian Nelson – Lorna, Norrine, Sharon, Duana and John.
After his father and mother split, his mum remarried and had two more sons, Alfred and Omarr.
Two of his siblings have since died and if the deceased siblings have children they would also be entitled to the same share as their parents.
It’s believed the star’s estate is worth around $150 million,

as reported in the media.
Speaking on his current state of health and why he's been away from the public eye for several months, the former Military Head of State explained:
“It is true I have minimised my
appearance at public functions because of my ill health, but not to the level of incapacitation as being widely circulated in some media.
“For me, it doesn’t shock me neither
bother me because I know I must go and meet God my Creator. There is nothing really to worry about, my religion has told me. Well, as a Muslim I strongly believe everybody will die. Everybody will die and everybody has to die.It could be now or in 100 years time or two days to come. But it doesn’t matter. Everybody must die.
"You can see me attending to people, after which we all go in for our lunch and have our prayers before I retire for my siesta.I am not incapacitated. Nobody is above sickness or death because nobody is above what God has destined. Everybody will fall sick or will die or either of their relations

Handsome Lagos Twin Stabbed To Death In Front of His Dad While Trying To Save Girl From Street Thugs

The view from the veranda of house No 5, Olalekan Adeoya Street, Off Liasu Road,Ikotun area of Lagos is one that is likely to send shivers down the spine of whoever knew what took place on April 15, 2016
right in front of the building.
Anyone standing on the veranda of the top floor apartment of the Megwa family will be looking directly at the exact spot where 23-year-old twins Elvis and Lewis Megwa were both stabbed.
That is one spot their father, who is in his early 60s, has not been strong enough to direct his sight, days after he lost one of his sons in a tragic attack that put the one who survived in intensive care.
When our correspondent visited the family on Wednesday, the grief-stricken Mr.Emmanuel Megwa shook his friend as he delved into the seemingly harmless confrontation, which degenerated to a brutal attack on his family.
Mr. Megwa, who spoke in an emotion-laden low tone, explained that on that night which turned out to be the worst day of his life, a girl living with him had gone out to buy something in a kiosk which doubles
as the security post and petty trading store used by the security guard employed to man the street gate in front of the Megwas’ house.
He said, “My boys – the twins – were standing on the veranda watching the goings on on the street and at the girl walking out of the house around 10.30pm.“When the girl got to the guard’s kiosk, about three boys, who were standing around the area, started harassing and groping her.She raised the alarm and I had to rush downstairs to challenge the boys, just to make them stop.
“As I rushed downstairs, one of my twin boys followed me. I opened the gate and noticed that the boys were still standing by.I asked them simply why they were harassing the girl and one of them challenged me for asking them such question.
“They started charging towards us,
becoming aggressive, so, I pushed my son back. As he was trying to move back, he fell and got up again. At that point, his brother had come downstairs to ask what was happening.
Late Elvis Megwa
Punch learnt that while this ruckus went on, some of the friends of the three young men came to the scene. Some of them were said to have raced to a nearby bear parlour and picked bottles of beer, which they brought to the scene, ready to do
battle with their weapons.
Mr. Megwa told our correspondent that as soon as he saw the men racing out of the street gate in an aggressive manner, he shouted to the street’s gateman to lock the gate, which he failed to do.
Unfortunately, the men came back armed with broken bottles.“As we retreated, they seemed to be
surrounding us and before I knew what was happening, the girl living with me screamed. She shouted that Elvis had been stabbed.At that point, I rushed to my son,who was already bleeding heavily from his neck.
Lewis was also stabbed in the shoulder and stomach.“The girl removed her wrapper and used it
to cauterise the gushing blood. I also
removed my singlet and added it to it. I was just concerned about the welfare of my children. Even the girl sustained minor stab injury in her stomach.”
Saturday Punch learnt that both Elvis and Lewis were rushed to a nearby hospital where Elvis was pronounced dead.
As of the time of filing this report, Lewis had not been informed that his twin brother was dead.
Mr. Megwa dabbed at his eyes as he
started another round of sobbing when he told our correspondent how Lewis asked everybody who visited him in his hospital about his twin.
“Everybody keeps telling him that Lewis is fine and that he would see him soon,” he said.
For the Megwa family, losing such a
promising young man at such an age and in such a tragic circumstance is not the only cause of their sorrow.
It was learnt that Elvis was studying Mass Communication at the National Open University.
“The twins are my inspiration. They are so focused that they always told me not to worry that through their own businesses, they would be able to pay their own school fees. They are very entrepreneurial. The only reason they enrolled at the Open
University was to be able to undertake their own business,” the grieving father said.
Saturday Punch learnt that the twins were stabbed by one Alex Onuora , who has since fled though the police at the Ikotun division have taken into custody members of his family.
Some other suspects involved in the attack have also been arrested.
The deceased’s family explained that the security man who failed to lock the gate of the street during the attack had gone into hiding. They said even though the security rule of the street was that he should have
locked the gate by 10pm, he failed to do this, allowing the hoodlums’ incursion into the scene of the attack.
The area where the twins were stabbed had been largely peaceful without the terror of hoodlums until that day.Mr. Megwa said how such a disagreement could degenerate to the point of such a brutal attack was still a mystery to him.
When Punch visited the home of the
Megwas, the sobbing mother of the twins was being consoled by a hoard of women who surrounded her in a room.
The police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmus, who confirmed the case said the police are still on the trail of the principal suspect in the case.
She said investigation was still ongoing as the police already have in custody some suspects who have vital information about what happened that day.
So sad.
